The Wandering Objects was a play sculpture consisting of three different structures placed in a small forest next to the New Kiruna City Centre.
The project was developed through series of workshops with children that resulted in a Wandering Objects Base being build at the end, that stayed in Kiruna over the summer of 2024 (as a part of Luleå Biennal).
In that project I was reponsible for design, brainstorming, preparing and facilitating workshops, some parts of 3D modeling, building the structures on site as well as having fun with the kids involved :)

The project were made through a participatory design process where my team worked with children from local schools in Kiruna to create a research station and accompanying, playful tools for exploration of a site. Schools included Högalid, Sameskolan and Thoren Framtid and children were between the ages of 8 and 12.

The play sculptures were made from wood and collected objects and architectural components from Kiruna’s old city hall. Children were encouraged to use these structures as a research station, from which they can observe and study the new city hall and the new city. They also took part in a workshop on site, where they created tools for exploration to be left on the structures.

Project made in collaboration with Aria Lee, Benjamin Redin, Fongyee Ng, Milma Loeskow during Luleå Biennal 2024.
